b2 -> wordpress
In November 2003 I was inspired by Andi Krennmair (AK) to do some blogging. At that time AK used b2 so I also installed b2. b2 was ok but a few month later it began to suck. First of all development ended due to it was published as a merge of b2 and cafelog under the name wordpress. So no new features, no bugfixes. A few days ago I was testing aKregator (a KDE RSS-reader) but reading my own feed failed because of some “^M” at EOL (end of lines). :-(
I tried to migrate to wordpress but failed :-(. AK migrated his blog to wordpress and wrote down the stuff he did. So I also tried to migrate. And hey – as you can see here we are :-). Thanks to AK who helped me at the migration!
If you notice any bugs/problems don’t hesitate to contact me. Thanks.
Note: Don’t forget to update the URL of my rss-feed in your rss-reader!

aKregator could not parse my weblog with ‘^M’ at the end of some lines. I downloaded my own feed with wget und removed the ‘^M’s and provided the new file as a new feed to aKregator and then aKregator was able to parse it without any problems.
The weblog software I used was b2 and I migrated to wordpress (as you can see ;-)). snownews (a commandline based rss-reader) had no problems with my b2-feed.
I tried to reproduce this behaviour and noticed that even in the wordpress-feed some ‘^M’ can be find but aKregator now does not have any problems with parsing this feed 8-(.
Sorry for not being able to reproduce this behaviour. I know it’s a quite non-deterministic bugreport so I aborted writing my bug entry @bugs.kde.org.

Mika, I dropped by thru google. Could you pls email me the code for the index pg? I deleted the time/date lines by accident and I don’t wanna have to download the entire wordpress to redo the thing. Thanks.
